Juneteenth

Connect For More celebrates June 19, 1865, when many enslaved people in Texas learned they had been freed. Texas was the first state to make Juneteenth a state holiday, a majority of states came to recognize Juneteenth as a holiday or have an official observance of the day. This day became a Federal Holiday on January 1, 2022.
